Killer Ocean gives a home to the six killer whales of Niörd Seafari. Most of the time you can find them playing together in the main pool. Although they always have access to the back pool, so they can escape the guests that are watching them. The main pool is build as a large, natural looking laguna in which the orcas have all the space they need to swim, jump, and play. A small channel runs through the staff facilities and gives the whales access to a small backpool and a medical pool.

 

The staff center is completely isolated from public access and holds all the facilities needed to take care of our black-and-white stars: office, large fish kitchen, small labo, and of course an area where the staff can relax from time to time while having a beautiful view over the main pool.

 

Our visitors can only see these magnificent predators when they are swimming in the main pool. An indoor picknick area leads to a large wall of acrylic glass and gives an astonishing view in the laguna. A stairs leads to a large covered terrace. Standing a few feet above the water level you get an overwhelming view over the entire laguna and the small beach at the back. And while you're up there; don't forget to turn around a catch a glimpse of the surrounding forests.
