The place to be where water, animals and fun come together
Team Nerina is a group of 9 young friends, living in various places of the world, but united by one dream. A dream that combines their love for the oceans and for every animal, big or small you can find on our blue planet.
One day they decided to follow their dream and a new, huge conservation center for marine life was born: Niörd Seafari.
Many years have passed since that day. Niörd Seafari is now one of the biggest marine parks of the world. But our nine friends stayed with both feet on the ground. Each of them has a job within the park. Not a fancy, well-payed desk job, but one that really matters for them. They are responsible for the daily care of their beloved animals.
Mister Flower
With a blue marlin at his side, Flower is our deep sea aquariologist. Responsilbe for some of the most strange and weird creatures of the deep, you can usually find him in our Aquarium buildinds "Doors to the Deep" or "Wild Ocean". He's probably the most flamboyant member of Team Nerina, always trying to prank his colleges. But always ready to help out; the parks visitors as well; and prepared to answer the most intriging questions you can come up with.
Miss Orca Freak
Like her name suggests, the killer whales are her favorites. No wonder you can always find her in the vicinity of "Killer Ocean", home to the biggest residents of Niörd Seafari. Being the oldest member of Team Nerina, she always watches out for her younger colleges. And always tries to help out whenever someone's in need of assistance. But her heart will always yearn for her orcas.
Mister Swimming Spaghetti Monster
Swimming Spaghetti Monster is the one that most of the time wonders with his head between the clouds. No wonder he chose an Albatros as his personal mascot. To give him the chance to wonder during his worktime, he's been put in charge of playing with the birds; be it the funny penguins, the noisy ducks and puffins, or the majestic sea birds from the South. All of them got a special place in this birdlovers heart.
Miss stargatedalek
The most delicate of all animals in Niörd Seafari are the responsibility of stargatedalek: the sea horses. Leafy and weedy sea dragons or common sea horses; all found a place in Niörd Seafari, and all are in stargates care. Her other priority is the care of what most people call the "cows of the sea": manatees and dugongs. These gentle creatures go totally crazy when stargate gives them their daily portion of lettuce.
Mister philly
Philly is the sort of man that does not understand the concept of danger. For that reason it seemed fitted to put him in charge of the parks most dangerous animals: the sharks. Giant bullsharks or tiny smooth-hounds and everything in between, not one of them manages to frighten philly. There are times; not very often but still; he goes over to the "Reef Aquarium" to enjoy a playfull fight of arm wrestling with the octopusses.
Miss Unicorn
From the very playful bottlenoses to the tiny porpoises, all can count on spending some time with the head trainer of dolphins, Unicorn. But the most special ones for her, are without a doubt the endangered vaquitas, and "Vaquita Hall" is her home. She's their head trainer and caretaker, and she's doing an awesome job with them. In her spare time, Unicorn also takes care of the teams graphic work, designing logo's are her speciality, but don't underestitmate her talent for digital painting either.
Mister Treebeard
The most quiet member of Team Nerina is Treebeard. But on the other hand, he is also the head trainer of our most playful animals: the seals and sea lions. Treebard is able to answer every question you can think of when it concerns pinnipeds. So anything you need to know, just ask. And when he's not answering questions, he can be found somewhere to the side giving training to one of his animals.
Mister Thom
Thom can always be found in the "Reef Aquarium" surrounded by the beauty and colors of a true underwater paradise. The entire building was designed by him from the first stone till the last detail. Decorating aquariums is his biggest hobby. But he also enjoys taking care of the animals that are housed in them. Spending hours a day watching the colorful fish swim by, seeing corals grow bigger, and feeding the numberous sharks of the reef, is a job that suits Thom very well.
Mister Pacific Time
Pacific Time is the head keeper of rays, the giant manta ray being his favorite. But also the endangered leatherback sea turtle and the more common green sea turtle melted his heart. Which made him the perfect candidate to take on the job of rehabilitating rescued sea turtles. And in his spare time, he takes his camera and goes into the wild, looking for that one perfect shot, no matter if it's a bird, a reptile or a fish. All will be captured by his lens one day.
